1)  II all the way.  I find Rite I to be antiquarian.  It would be one thing if the liturgy was in Aramaic or even Greek, but not old English.

4)  I attend a broad church, but I prefer high church.  I like the elaborate ritual of Anglo-Catholics, but I can’t subscribe to their doctrines.

5)  Blue, baby!  Purple is for Lent.  :)

10)  Christmas.  I know it’s cliche, but I like that the Christmas spirit pervades our whole culture.  People are nicer to each other.  And there is something beautiful about the idea of the divine coming down to our level to meet us where we are.

So I’ve been walking by this painting at school for three years, wondering why he looked familiar. I finally figured out that he looks like the snow shovel man from Home Alone!

If I am only happy for myself, many fewer chances for happiness. If I am happy when good things happen to other people, billions more chances to be happy!
The Dalai Lama (via lazyyogi)

This basically sums up the two ways you can interpret the Bible consistently.  I have found that those who accuse me of cherry picking from the Bible are actually more inconsistent than I am.  I am perfectly willing to admit that I cherry pick, but the ones who accuse me of it are just as guilty, if not more so, but are unwilling to make the same admission.

I wonder what someone would think if I was working on this paper in public.
